PALM BEACH STATE College’s handling of an unsolicited proposal for a $60 million soccer stadium at its Lake Worth campus has drawn sharp criticism from a prominent former PBSC student on the college’s board of trustees.

While Trustee Dave Kerner, a former Palm Beach County commissioner now head of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, has accused the college of violating state law in its haste to make a deal for the soccer stadium, other trustees on the five-member board do not agree with him.
