Mayor rips fellow Lake Worth Beach commissioner for ‘pay to play’ comment

Anyone following Lake Worth Beach politics knows that City Commissioner Chris McVoy has been an outspoken critic of the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts mixed-use project.

But Mayor Betty Resch said McVoy “crossed a line” late last month when he made a “pay to play” remark that she and other commissioners interpreted as a “direct accusation” that they were “taking bribes from developers.’’
