Jamie Brown withdraws contract proposal for full-time city manager post in Lake Worth Beach
Interim city manager since December 2023, Brown said the City Commission will pursue hiring a recruiting firm to find a full-time manager.
Lake Worth Beach’s search for a full-time city manager took another twist today when interim manager Jamie Brown said he was withdrawing his contract proposal for the job.
That means the City Commission will revive plans to hire a national recruiting firm to find full-time manager candidates. Sitting as the Evaluation Review Committee, commissioners will meet Dec. 8 to review a shortlist of seven recruiting firms and possibly hire one.
“I will not be putting my name in the hat during that process and applying,’’ Brown, who also serves as public works director, told the Lake Worth Beach Independent.
