Commissioner Chris McVoy censured by Lake Worth Beach City Commission after scolding resident at public meeting

In a rare move, Lake Worth Beach City Commissioner Chris McVoy was censured by his colleagues earlier this week after he shouted from the dais at a resident who was offering remarks at a commission meeting.

“Public comment is sacred,’’ Commissioner Anthony Segrich said after offering the censure motion. “I didn’t expect someone to behave so unprofessionally and attack a member of the public for making their public comment.’’
